Privacy Policy
Effective August 6, 2026
This policy explains what Blue Sky CBD collects when you visit bluesky-cbd.com or buy from us, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Blue Sky CBD is operated by Blue Sky Ventures, Denver, Colorado. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean that company, and "you" means anyone using the site.
What we collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, shipping and billing address, and phone number when you place an order or create an account. Any message you send us through the contact form or by email. Your date of birth or age confirmation where we're required to check it. Product reviews, ratings, and photos you choose to submit.
Information collected automatically. Your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring page, the pages you view, and the times you view them. This comes from cookies and similar technologies, which are described in our Cookie Policy.
Information from the services we use. Order, shipping, and payment status from our commerce platform and carriers. Subscription status if you have a recurring order. Referral information if you arrived through an affiliate link.
We do not run message boards or forums and we do not collect information from them.
Payment information
When you pay, your card details go directly to our payment processors. We do not store full card numbers. What we can see is limited to what the processor returns to us — the card brand, the last four digits, and whether the charge succeeded — which we use to identify the order and handle refunds.
How we use your information
- To take, process, and ship your order, and to handle returns, cancellations, and refunds
- To manage your account and any subscription you have
- To answer your questions and provide support
- To send order confirmations, shipping updates, and other transactional messages
- To send marketing email or SMS, where you've asked to receive it
- To display reviews you've submitted
- To understand how the site is used, and to fix and improve it
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet our legal and tax obligations
Cookies, analytics, and session recording
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, analytics, and marketing. Our Cookie Policy describes each category and the specific services involved.
You can change your choices at any time using the Cookie preferences link in the site footer. If your browser or extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out of analytics and marketing cookies automatically.
Session recording. We use a session replay and heatmap tool that records how visitors move through the site — pointer movement, scrolling, clicks, and page navigation — so we can see where the site is confusing or broken. These recordings are treated as analytics and are only made when you have accepted analytics cookies or are in a region where analytics runs by default. Form fields and payment pages are excluded from recording.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who need it to do work on our behalf. They may use it only for that work, and they're required to keep it confidential. By category:
- Commerce platform and hosting — our storefront, checkout, and order records
- Payment processing — card and wallet transactions
- Shipping and fulfillment — carriers and fulfillment services who deliver your order
- Email and SMS marketing — for the messages you've opted into
- Subscriptions — for managing recurring orders
- Reviews — for collecting and displaying product reviews
- Rewards — for our rewards program, if you join it
- Affiliate tracking — for crediting referrals from partners
- Analytics and session recording — as described above
- Wholesale accounts — for customers ordering through our wholesale program
We also share information when the law requires it, or when we reasonably believe it's necessary to comply with legal process, to protect our rights or property, or to protect someone's safety.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we don't rent or lease our customer lists. Some state privacy laws define "sale" and "sharing" broadly enough to include the use of advertising and analytics cookies. If you'd rather not participate in that, decline marketing and analytics cookies in the footer preferences, or send a Global Privacy Control signal.
Tools we run ourselves
Alongside the services above, we operate a small returns request tool. When you request a return, it reads your order information in order to confirm what's eligible and records the request against your order. It processes that information only for the length of the request and stores nothing outside our commerce platform. No separate database of customer information exists.
Marketing messages
If you've opted into marketing email or SMS, you can stop at any time — use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email, reply STOP to any text, or email us at info@bluesky-cbd.com. Opting out of marketing doesn't stop transactional messages about orders you've placed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Know and access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct information that's inaccurate
- Delete your personal information
- Receive a copy in a portable format
- Opt out of targeted advertising, and of any processing treated as a sale or share
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights — we won't change your prices or refuse you service
To make a request, email info@bluesky-cbd.com. We'll need to verify your identity before we act, usually by confirming details of an order you've placed, and we'll respond within the time the applicable law allows.
If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response. We'll review the appeal and give you a written explanation. Colorado residents who remain unsatisfied may contact the Colorado Attorney General's office.
Some information we can't delete on request — order and payment records we're required to keep for tax and legal purposes, for instance. If that applies, we'll tell you which information and why.
How long we keep information
- Order and transaction records — as long as required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes
- Account information — while your account is open, and for a reasonable period afterward
- Marketing contacts — until you opt out, and then only what's needed to honor the opt-out
- Analytics and session recordings — for the retention period of the tool involved, described in the Cookie Policy
- Support correspondence — while it's useful for context, then deleted on a routine schedule
Security
We protect personal information with encryption in transit, access controls limiting who on our side can see it, and providers who maintain their own security programs. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by law.
Age
This site is intended for adults. You must be at least 18 to purchase, and 21 or older where state or local law sets a higher age for hemp-derived products.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email info@bluesky-cbd.com and we'll delete it.
Where we operate
We operate in the United States and ship only within the United States. Information we collect is stored and processed here. If you visit the site from outside the U.S., understand that your information will be handled under U.S. law, which may differ from the law where you live.
Changes to this policy
We'll update this policy when our practices change, and the effective date at the top will change with it. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we'll give you notice before it takes effect.
