A new peer-reviewed systematic review in Pharmaceuticals (October 2024) examined clinical and preclinical research on CBD (cannabidiol) used without THC for pain. The authors screened 500+ papers and analyzed 40 studies. Their takeaway: across animal and early human studies, CBD showed analgesic and anti-inflammatory activity, with emerging relevance for chronic pain and osteoarthritis.
